Features & Applications

The USB-C5-LC extends one USB device up to 150 feet, and the USB-C5 extends four USB devices up to 100 feet. The USB extenders consist of two units, the local unit and the remote unit, which are interconnected with CAT5/5e/6 cable.
  • Extend self-powered and/or bus-powered USB peripheral devices (security cameras, printer, scanner, keyboard, etc.).
  • Transparent data extension.
  • Compatible with USB (PC, SUN, MAC) computers.
  • Compliant with USB 1.1 (low/full speed) specifications.
  • Supports Plug-n-Play specification.

  • USB-C5-LC: one male USB Type A connector on attached 10-inch cable.
  • USB-C5: one female USB Type B connector.
  • Supports a USB computer (PC, SUN, MAC).
    • When using certain MAC computers with USB-C5, the maximum extension is 75 feet.

  • Use CAT5/5e/6 solid UTP straight through cable for TIA/EIA-568B wiring terminated with standard RJ45 connectors (not included).
Extension Limits
  • USB-C5-LC: extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 150 feet.
  • USB-C5: extend CAT5/5e/6 up to 100 feet.
    • When using certain MAC computers with USB-C5, the maximum extension is 75 feet.
  • Use of CAT6 cable may decrease the maximum length of extension.
